ACCPA– Aged & Community Care Providers Association

LASA – Leading Age Services Australia is the national association for all providers of age services of all types and sizes across residential care, home care and retirement living/senior housing across Australia’s metropolitan, regional and rural areas. Their diverse and representative membership gives LASA the ability to convey authority on issues of importance to older Australians and the age service industry. LASA has also developed a new home care package pricing tool that gives the edge on success while optimising value as well as Codes for the industry.

Palliative Care

Palliative Care – Established in 1998, Palliative Care Australia is the national peak body and representative of all those who work towards high quality palliative care for all Australians. Their aim is to improve access, promote the need, influence, foster and promote the delivery of quality palliative care, including cementing networks between all providers; i.e. primary, specialist and support, and the community.

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia – Dementia Australia has developed resources to assist all Australians to get a better understanding of what they can do to contribute to a dementia-friendly nation. Dementia Australia represents the 459,000 Australians living with dementia and the almost 1.6 million Australians involved in their care. They provide carefully selected content which is relevant and useful with regard to support, information and education for people living, carers, family and friends, and health professionals.

My Aged Care

My Aged Care is the starting point to access Australia Government-funded aged care services to get the help and support available. Their website has been established to help navigate the aged care system and any changes to the Australian Government’s aged care system which have been designed to give people more choice, more control and easier access to a full range of aged care services.

MND

MND – Established in 1991, MND Australia (formerly the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Australia) is a national body for people living with MND, and encourages collaboration to promote optimal care outcomes. They also enable research that will identify the cause and lead to better care, control and ultimately a cure, as well as support and act in accordance with national policies and position statements. Currently MND Australia is calling for an end to age discrimination of people diagnosed with a disability aged 65+ who cannot access the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
