The theme for National Palliative Care Week (23-29 May) this year is “It’s More Than You Think”. 

The premise behind this theme is to raise awareness of the benefits of providing quality palliative care and to celebrate the work and dedication of those who deliver palliative care across Australia.

According to Palliative Care Australia, one in three Australians have had a family member receive palliative care.
