My First Client Visit Experience
Rowena Beale is the new General Manager, People at Prestige Inhome Care. She will play a pivotal role in supporting our people and driving a positive impact across the communities we serve.
Here, Rowena share’s her insights into her “field visits” as part of her introduction to Prestige and the in-home care sector.

As part of my employee induction, I recently had the privilege of observing three in-home client visits, accompanying our exceptional Carer Lead, Stephanie and it was nothing short of inspiring. Being new to the industry, I was deeply moved by the dignity, patience, and compassion shown by each carer in supporting older people.
The experience was both a privilege and profoundly joyous.

Meeting carers Lily, Komal and Serena left me in awe. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine connection with clients Livia, Angus, and Jill truly demonstrated the depth of care and respect they bring to their work.
What stood out even further was the unwavering support Steph offered this team. She guided, encouraged, and uplifted each carer with grace, ensuring they felt confident, supported, and valued in their roles.

I’m incredibly grateful to Angus for the Tim Tam, and to Steph for generously sharing her “car time” with me, answering my many questions with patience and insight. Steph made me feel genuinely welcomed and reaffirmed my excitement to be part of the meaningful work happening at Prestige.
This experience has deepened my appreciation for the incredible nurses and carers who dedicate themselves to preserving the dignity and wellbeing of older people every day.
