Our founder, a registered nurse, Nick McDonald, saw how much better a person’s care needs could be met when living at home, rather than in a facility. Nick realised that “there’s no place like home.”

Today, our care teams in Melbourne, Geelong, Mornington, Sydney and Sunshine Coast offer premium round-the-clock support, delivering safe and quality in-home care to those who need it the most.

Our Premium Program

When you receive 24-hour private in-home care with Prestige you will enter our Premium Program. All aspects of you or your loved one’s care will be looked after by our Premium Care Team.

Your dedicated, Premium Case Manager is able to work alongside any medical stakeholders. We can arrange any allied health assistance or home equipment to ensure you are all set up for your care.

How does our Premium

24-Hour Program work?

24-hour care may not necessarily mean 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You or your loved one may not require 24 hours of care a day. You may only require 5 hours a day. If you receive 36 hours or more of private in-home care, a team of care staff (typically 5-6 carers and nurses) will assist with the day-to-day care of your family member.

Your Case Manager will work alongside your dedicated premium client coordinators to provide a range of services. This includes working alongside other healthcare professionals to oversee all your care needs.

To ensure we provide end-to-end premium support, a full 24 hour period would generally be broken up into 3 shifts e.g. 8.00 am – 3.00 pm, 3.00 pm – 10.00 pm and 10.00 pm – 8.00 am, (however, this can be adjusted to suit individual client preferences).

Active and inactive overnight care – an ‘Inactive Sleepover’ is a non-active period of care where an employee is available to be called on to actively provide care, while sleeping overnight. A standard sleepover runs for 10 consecutive hours between 10pm and 6am and is charged as 8 inactive hours.

Your Case Manager is able to work alongside any medical stakeholders. We can arrange any allied health assistance or home equipment to ensure you are all set up for 24-hour care.

You will have access to 24-hour on call support via a direct phone number to the premium team.

  1. Book a consultation: Meet your dedicated Case Manager during an obligation-free in-home consultation.
  2. Care needs assessment: Your Case Manager will conduct a care needs assessment and develop a tailored care plan.
  3. We create your care team: Assisted by one of our Client Service Coordinators, who will look after your rostering requirements.
  4. Your care program begins: A team of qualified carers will assist with your day-to-day care.
  5. Ongoing monitoring: Your Case Manager will conduct regular reviews to ensure we provide the best possible care.
