Jessica’s Reflection

Many of our Prestige Inhome Care nurses and carers build a special bond with clients, providing them with genuine companionship, friendship and share significant times with them.  This includes caring for the client until the end of their life.

For many care staff, they continue to hold them fondly in their thoughts and hearts for a long time after their time together has ended. Jessica recently lost a client and shared with us her thoughts and feedback …

Jessica says:

I am really grateful to be working alongside a wonderful team of fellow carers and nurses, and for the Prestige Office staff working behind the scenes to make the Program work.

A small reminder, an awareness for me personally and to share with others…

We tend to focus on other things in life… forget to be grateful for the simple things in life, being able to do the basic necessities on a day-to-day basis, to simply be holding our phone, to type on a keyboard, being able to verbally communicate and walk.
Working with Simon* has made me feel more appreciation in life… In healthcare, we may be given a diagnosis from the Doctor and a Doctor to tell us when we pass away, but who are they to say when our contract in life will end?

A small reminder in the Beauty in Life, to be Present in Life… to stop for a moment and smell the Roses. (But if you’re allergic to flowers) maybe the smell of baked fresh goodies
!

Thank you for sharing Jessica, your sentiments are sure to be appreciated by others.
