Tina joined our Prestige family in March 2021, with a background in retail team management.
“I wanted to be in an industry that aligned with my values and made a difference in the lives of others,” says Tina.
“That’s what drew me to Prestige. I’ve been part of the incredibly supportive Mornington team for 4 years now. It’s so rewarding working closely with our team of more than 100 extraordinary carers, who are on the front line, working so hard each and every day to support our Mornington clients, and make a real difference in their lives,” adds Tina
What motivates you?
I love that Prestige is like one big family. Everyone has their ups and downs, but no matter what, you feel supported and cared for by the people around you. I love coming to work and having a laugh with the team and checking in on our care staff and getting to know them on a more personal level.
What we do [providing care and support to clients] is completely reliant on our carers, so it’s crucial they feel encouraged and know they have someone they can rely on whenever they need.
What brings you joy?
Positively contributing to someone’s day. Whether that be a small act of kindness, a listening ear if they’re having a hard time, or just sharing a laugh. Life is too short to be serious all the time and we need to remember to enjoy the small moments and be kind and empathetic to each other as you never know what someone is going through.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I have a bit of a creative flare and really enjoy painting and doing sketches. Although I wouldn’t say I am an expert by any means, I love creating artwork for fun as a hobby and as an outlet to relax.
How do you like to relax?
I am a bit of a home body, so outside of work I spend time with the people I love – my Fiancé, parents, siblings, my three precious nephews and my of course my dog, who all mean the world to me.
I enjoy chilling out watching a favourite movie or going out in nature whether that be a walk by the beach or at the park.
Besides work, what else is important to you?
Outside of work, Tina loves to surround herself with her family and friends. “I come from a European background. Most of my family are from Croatia and I speak the language fluently at home, although I was raised in Australia from the age of two.
I love travelling and going back to Europe to visit relatives that still live there and learning more about our family history.”
