In the spotlight: Our GM Client Services, Jo Adamopoulos

Jo joined us in early 2021 following many years of working for large corporations in the finance, telecommunications, and software industries.

In this short interview, Jo shares her journey to Prestige Inhome Care and what she loves most about working with us, and her role as General Manager Client Services.

Jo

What led you to Prestige Inhome Care?

After being in large corporations for many years, I was wanting to work with a purpose-led business, to contribute to the community and the vulnerable.

Knowing that I’m now helping make other people’s lives better is what gets me out of bed each morning.

What do you love most about our company?

The values and the people. There’s a real sense of family in our company’s culture. Whether you’ve worked at Prestige for 10 years or 10 months, the family culture is front and centre.

What’s your favourite part about the department that you lead?

Client services is the engine room of the business. Getting to bring quality services to life for our clients, with the support of an incredible care team, is what’s most rewarding.

What has your team taught you?

Aside from inspiring me with their unwavering passion and commitment, my team has shown me what a fun place to work looks like.

What do you think sets us apart from other providers?

We have an enormous amount of care and compassion for our care team and our clients. We bring our whole selves to work and are committed to making a difference. The Prestige values resonate with us.

What are you currently working on that excites you?

There are so many projects underway that excite me, but the work we’re doing to attract new care workers and retain our amazing care team is what I’m most proud of. The workforce shortages are real, and we’re doing everything we can as a business to alleviate the pressure on our team as well as be able to continue to provide the quality of care that we are known for.

Outside of work, what brings you joy?

My family. I have a 19-month-old boy, Hunter, and three dogs.  I come from a very close-knit family who has supported me in every aspect of my life.  My partner Steve and I hope to share some of those core family values with Hunter.
